Using this site, and joining a class, on plain terms.

By using this website you agree to the conditions below. If you enrol in a course, the written confirmation we send you is the agreement for that term. Where the two differ, the written confirmation of dates and fees prevails.

The website

The site is provided so you can read about Seniorlearnersgroup, look at current programmes, and send an enquiry. We take care with accuracy. Timetables, remaining seats, and fees can change. That is why they are described as indicative on every page that mentions them, and why enrolment is not completed by pressing a button here.

You may not misuse the contact form (including automated bulk messages), attempt to disrupt the site, or copy its pages in bulk for a competing brochure. Short quotation with a link back is fine. The name Seniorlearnersgroup and the leaf mark are used to identify this centre; do not use them to imply a partnership we have not agreed.

Conversations and enrolment

The first conversation lasts about twenty minutes and is free. It does not reserve a seat by itself. A place in a group of eight is reserved when we have confirmed it in writing and, where a fee applies, when that fee has been received according to the instructions in that letter or email.

A term is eight lessons of two hours. A short course is four lessons. Missing a lesson does not usually create a private replacement class. If we cancel a lesson — for example if a tutor is ill and we cannot staff the room properly — we will offer a make-up date or a proportionate adjustment, described in writing.

Fees

The figures published on this site are S$140 for a term of eight lessons and S$90 for a short course of four lessons. They are indicative. You will not be asked to pay a different amount than the one we confirmed in writing before enrolment. We do not add surprise materials fees at the door. If a term cannot run because fewer than a workable number of people enrol, we will refund what you have paid for that term rather than merge you into an oversized group.

Conduct in the room

Learners and visitors are asked to treat the room as a classroom: phones on the table for the lesson, not as a second conversation in the corner; no filming of other people; no taking of another person’s device without asking. We may ask someone to leave a session if behaviour makes teaching impossible. That is rare, and it is not a tool we use for ordinary frustration with a difficult step.

Materials

Printed notes are for your use and for a family member helping you practise. They are not for republishing as a paid guide. The teaching team’s notes on this website are likewise for reading, not for scraping into another course.

Liability

We take ordinary care with the classroom, the lift instructions we give, and the accuracy of what we teach about devices and languages. We cannot be responsible for a phone that already malfunctions, for a third-party app that changes overnight, or for travel to the centre. Nothing on this site is medical, legal, or other professional advice outside the running of our courses. If a problem arises, write to us and we will address it directly.
