What we hold, why we hold it, and how to reach us about it.

When you write to us, telephone, or visit, you give us information that can identify you. We use it to reply, to arrange a conversation, and — if you enrol — to run a class. We do not sell it. We do not pass it to other organisations for their marketing. This page sets out the details of that promise as it applied from January 2026.

What we collect

From the website form: your name, email address, optional telephone number, the programme you selected, the language you prefer for a conversation, and the message you typed. We also receive technical details the form needs in order to work (a time stamp and a security token). A hidden field is present to discourage automated mail; you are not meant to fill it in.

If you telephone or visit, we may write down the same kinds of facts, plus whatever you tell us about devices, languages, access needs (for example a hearing aid or a wheelchair), and the times you can attend. If you enrol, we keep the dates of the term, the fee as confirmed in writing, and attendance as it relates to the group.

We do not ask this site to collect precise location, payment-card numbers, or copies of identity documents. Payment, when it happens, is arranged in writing after the conversation, not through a card form on these pages.

Why we use it

We use the details to answer you, to book the twenty-minute conversation, to decide whether a seat exists in a group of eight, and to send you the written confirmation of dates and fees before enrolment. If you join a class, we use the details to print notes with your name if that helps, to contact you about a timetable change, and to keep a simple record of who is in the room for fire and for the tutor’s preparation.

We rely on your request — you wrote or rang us — and, where the law in Singapore requires a basis for holding personal data, on the fact that the information is needed to provide the course you asked for, or on consent where you have ticked the box on the form.

Where it is kept

Email and form messages are received at [email protected]. This site is hosted on shared servers in Singapore. We do not use a separate marketing database. Paper notes from a first conversation stay at the centre. We do not transfer your enquiry to a company overseas in order to “nurture a lead”.

How long we keep it

If you do not enrol, we keep an enquiry long enough to complete the conversation and a short period afterwards in case you write again, then we delete or shred it. If you enrol, we keep class records for the term and a reasonable period after it ends so we can confirm what was taught if you ask, and so we can manage the waiting list fairly. You can ask us to delete what we still hold, subject to any record we must keep for a complaint or a payment already made.

Your requests

You may ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to stop using it for contacting you. Write to [email protected] or send a letter to the address above. We will need enough information to be sure we are speaking with the right person. We will answer without requiring you to complete an extra marketing form.

Cookies

The separate cookie notice explains the small amount of storage this site uses. The enquiry form does not require you to accept an optional cookie in order to send a message.

Changes

If this notice changes, we will update this page. The substance — we hold what we need in order to teach and to reply, and we do not sell lists — will not quietly reverse. This version is dated 2026.
